SSS: Emotional Literacy was the first session of the 2015/2016 academic year! Student Staff Seminars provide students and lecturers alike the opportunity to discuss a topic in an informal environment outside the lecture halls.
The topic chosen was Emotional Literacy, and this event took place at the University Chaplaincy.
What is Emotional Literacy, and how important is it in our daily lives? Dr Ruth Falzon had put forward an overview of the subject which will help increase our understanding and awareness of its importance.
The subject was then put to practice through an interactive workshop on Emotional Literacy in relation to Personal & Social Development. Dr Ruth Falzon aided to explore the ways in which emotional literacy can be used to promote well-being, both personally and socially. This served as a helping hand in learning how to handle emotions in a way which will improve the quality of life around us.
